Workshop Overview
The oil industry in Kuwait has been compiling greenhouse gas emissions at a site level in the past few years. This refresher course will provide an update on how to address emissions inventories on an equipment-by-equipment (heater, flare, boiler, etc.) level and to determine uncertainty. This includes examples of upstream and downstream processes. This course utilizes sector-specific GHG protocols and guidance, such as the API Compendium and IPIECA guidelines. Finally, the course reviews mitigation options specific to the oil sector as well as quantification of offset project emissions reductions.
